“The Bird and the Elephant”

In a distant forest filled with tall, beautiful trees and a variety of animals, a small bird lived with its mother and siblings in a small nest perched on the treetops. One day, the young bird went to look for food for its young siblings, who couldn’t fly yet. While its mother was away, a strong wind blew, shaking the nest and causing the young bird to fall to the ground. Unable to fly, the young bird remained in place, trembling with fear, waiting for its mother’s return.

During this time, a kind elephant was strolling through the forest, stomping the ground with its large feet and singing loudly. The small bird was filled with fear and tried to hide from the elephant, but the elephant noticed it and asked, “Are you okay, little beautiful bird? Did you fall from the tree?” However, the small bird was too scared to respond and shivered in fear and cold.

The elephant, feeling sorry for the bird, decided to gather some tree leaves and placed them around the bird to keep it warm. Meanwhile, a cunning fox happened to see the elephant talking to the bird and then leaving to collect leaves. The fox approached the bird when the elephant was gone and asked, “Why are you here on the ground, little bird?” The bird told the fox that it had fallen from its nest.

The fox, being deceptive, said, “I know where your nest is, little bird, and I will take you back to it. But first, you must get rid of the elephant, for it is a dangerous animal that wants to harm you.” At that moment, the elephant returned carrying the leaves. The fox backed away and hid behind the trees, watching the bird.

The elephant placed the leaves around the bird, making it feel warm, and the bird asked, “Kind elephant, I am feeling hungry. Could you bring me some food?” This was the bird’s idea to keep the elephant away while the fox worked to take the bird back to its nest. The elephant, agreeing, said, “Of course, little bird, I will fetch you some grains, but be cautious of other animals, and don’t move from your spot until I return.”

The fox approached the bird when the elephant left and said, “Let’s go to get you back to your nest, little bird.” He picked up the bird and walked behind a tree. Suddenly, the fox’s expression changed, and he threw the bird to the ground and attacked it to devour it. The bird began to scream, “Help me! Please help me!” The elephant heard the bird’s cries and rushed back, finding the fox trying to attack the bird. The elephant ran quickly and chased the fox away, saving the small bird.

The elephant then picked up the bird and said, “Didn’t I tell you not to move, little bird?” The bird confessed, “I was actually afraid of you, dear elephant. You are so large and intimidating, and I am just a tiny bird.” The elephant replied with deep sadness, “Little bird, I do not eat small animals, and I only wanted to help you. You must learn not to judge others by their appearance or size, but by their actions only.”

The elephant then carried the bird back to the tree from which it had fallen. The bird’s mother had been searching for it anxiously and was overjoyed to see it. She thanked the elephant for its help.
