Mango Kunafa Recipe:

Ingredients:

200 grams thin kunafa
100 grams butter, melted
1 cup canned mango, drained and mashed
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup fresh mango juice
Chopped nuts for garnish (almonds, pistachios, walnuts)
Instructions:

Prepare the Base:

Heat the butter and mix it with the thin kunafa until the kunafa is evenly coated with butter.
Prepare the Filling:

In a bowl, place the mashed mango, and add mango juice, lemon juice, and sugar. Mix the ingredients well until the sugar is dissolved.
Assemble the Kunafa:

Place a layer of the kunafa in the base of a medium-sized baking dish, and slightly press down to make it even.
Add half of the mango filling (mashed mango) over the kunafa.
Complete Assembly and Bake:

Place another layer of kunafa and press it well.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until the kunafa becomes golden brown.
Prepare the Syrup:

In a saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil for 10 minutes until the syrup is slightly thickened. Then, add the mango juice and let it boil together for 5 more minutes.
Add lemon juice and let the syrup cool.
Serve the Mango Kunafa:

Serve the warm kunafa with mango syrup on top and a sprinkle of chopped nuts.
Note:

You can garnish the mango kunafa with fresh mango slices and fresh rose petals for a beautiful presentation.
